- Why Botswana -
Botswana land of the Tswana, famously known for having the highest concentration of Elephants. Beyond housing the largest land dwelling mammal it carries with it that extra oomph that just attracts many as a tourist destination. Having the big five, photographic safaris, the largest inland delta in the world and many species of birds makes one wonder if really 70 percent of the country is desert land. Perhaps getting more rainfall than most deserts do should have that effect
Botswana, formerly known Bachuanaland in colonial times, is also one of the land locked countries in Southern Africa and shares a history with Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It consists of 4 national parks namely the Chobe, Nxai and Makgadikgadi pans, and finally the Gemsbok National park. Inspite of its heritage sites it has a way of giving you an experience early African groups – the bushmen, giving you an idea of what life was like then. So make it your next destination as you write your adventure story.
